Honor Veterans - 2016 Navy SEALs Fund-Brotherhood Beyond Battlefield® Virtual 5K Challenge

The November Brotherhood Beyond Battlefield® Virtual 5K Challenge is here and is a great way to HONOR our military Veterans!

This month's Challenge Medal is a salute to our military Veterans who stood in harm's way to keep us safe. You definitely want to add this 'Bling' to your collection. If you missed the May Virtual 5K Challenge, there is a way for you to still earn the REMEMBER Medal to finish 2016 with a complete set.

We invite you to walk, run, ruck, swim, or any way you can get through 3.1 miles to honor our veterans . If you have someone special you will be honoring, please share with us a name and/or picture for us to also Honor on our page/website.

WHAT is a Virtual Race?
An event you can complete no matter where you are, and over as many days in the month as you need to get 'er done!
This is an easy way for anyone to get involved no matter where they are, or how athletic they may be.
You can participate solo, with a friend or two, with a group from work or school... remember the goal is to Honor our Veterans!

WHO can participate?
Anyone!! However, in order to receive the 5K Challenge Medal, you must be a paid registrant prior to the end of the event period.

HOW do I complete the 5k?
Our Virtual 5K has been completed in so many ways over the last few years. You can walk around your neighborhood, walk or run on a treadmill in your home or gym, Ruck, Bike, or even swim laps until you reach 3.1 miles or more!
We appreciate the commitment and creativity of everyone who gets involved.

UNIQUE RACE MEDAL

Much like the Navy SEALs who earn their Trident every day, completing your Brotherhood Beyond Battlefield® Virtual 5K Challenge will earn yourself a uniquely designed Challenge Medal.
**Register for the ADULT Frogger to earn the November HONOR our Veteran's Medal.

(If you missed out on the May REMEMBER our Fallen Heroes Medal, there is limited space to earn one this month. In addition to completing this month's 5K, Register for the Frogger Up option and complete an additional 5K to earn the May Challenge Medal to complete your set.)

KIDS
The kids are encouraged as always to get involved AND they will earn their own medal.

The Race Shirt is offered in a separate link so that the manufacturer can mail it directly to you!
This keeps event costs down, putting more toward the fundraising goals.
Shirts typically ship the first week after the Virtual 5K event closes.

5K Challenge Complete - What now?
How will we know you have earned your medal?
When you're done, take a Victory Photo and either post it to the facebook event thread with the date and time you accomplished your goal or email it to getinvolved@navysealsfund.org. Please give us permission at that time to use your photo in our collage of participants. If no permission is granted, we won't be able to share your success with others. Also, Consider using one of the various apps like 'Map My Run' (walk/hike/bike) to complete your 5K!

Find your inspiration and share with us your goal, what it means to you, and we will celebrate Mission Accomplished together.

** Brotherhood Beyond Battlefield® Challenge Medals and Shirts will be mailed at the end of November, when the event closes.
