It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of our teammate’s 19-year-old son, Seth Vega. Seth was the son of retired Navy SEAL Mikal Vega and was a loving brother to his younger sister Ariana, and to his older brother and sister, Brenton and Luralyn. He was loved and respected in the community, and his death has left a hole in our hearts and lives.

At this time, we would like to support Mikal, his wife Simona, and Ariana, Brenton, and Luralyn in the most fitting manner possible as we continue, as a community, to help them through this devastating loss.

For those looking to offer their support to Mikal's family, we ask that you consider making a donation and encourage you to please share with your network of teammates, friends & family.

It is in these times of loss and sadness when you see people come together to help one another make it through, to support the people we care for. We understand everyone is going through their own difficulties with the current epidemic and are thankful for any support you are able to provide.

All proceeds will go towards funeral expenses, immediate needs of the family and anything left over will be put into a college fund for his sister Ariana.

7/25/2020 Special Note from Seth's Dad - Mikal Vega

There are really no words to properly express how we feel. I believe it is because it is an experience that encompasses the full spectrum of human condition. Since the death of our son we have witnessed entirety of human emotion and potential. This is largely in part and in thanks to you.
I personally never would have thought of the prospect of having a fundraiser to provide shelter for our family as we process this new reality. Fortunately I did not have to because there are people out there that love us, truly. At the risk of sounding contrived I am going to say this anyway, because it is absolutely true, and life changing for me personally. The money that you donated on our behalf is a byproduct of what holds immensely more power for us through this transition. The heartfelt desire for us to feel your compassion. The empathy you all have continued to show us is an absolute lighthouse amidst a deafening sea of financial uncertainty, fear and confusion in the world today. Despite this you give. To us, to my son, you give...love. We feel it and it means everything to us. Your projections are a mirror of our sons soul, what he truly is to all that know him. Unconditional love. We all want that, above all else, whether we know it consciously or not. The public reaction to Seth’s passing has taught me that. Every single one of you is responsible for this profound teaching, establishing truth that it is not only possible to have but that all it takes to achieve it is a common recognition of the need. It then becomes a spontaneous manifestation borne from the core of what we all truly are. Unconditional love, the timeless thread that binds us together when the layers of illusion are peeled away.
What a profound gift your life is Seth. Thank you for sharing it with us all son. Look at all of these people you brought together and the example of the possibilities existence can provide. So short, so powerful.
Thank you. -Mikal Vega
