We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!
Navy SEALs Fund - Brotherhood Beyond Battlefield™ needs your help in funding essential Post-Transplant care needed by Craig Powell (SEAL)
Craig is suffering from Acute Myeloid Leukemia and needs help to survive this merciless battle. His cancer is aggressive, heartbreaking, and dreadfully expensive. He is currently in the middle of Bone Marrow Transplant.
.** Craig is sincerely appreciative for all the support shown through the GoFundMe account managed by his daughter. Those funds have helped tremendously in this long term battle for survival, providing help with earlier treatment needs.
** The Navy SEALs Fund giving campaign is to supplement his daughters efforts, and is designated specifically to fund the 24/7 care needed post-Bone Marrow Transplant. Additionally, all donations made to the Navy SEALs Fund are tax-deductible.
**If you would like to send your donation as a check, please message your preference and contact information to: info@navysealsfund.org.
Please remember, Cancer does not discriminate and it wreaks havoc far beyond the body it is attacking. We are asking your help in carrying Craig's financial burden so that he can put his full focus on recovery.
Craig checked into the hospital at the end of April to begin his bone marrow transplant. He is expected to be released from the hospital at the end of May, and will need 24/7 care at a residence close to the hospital for observation and emergencies.
Despite Craig finding a cost effective, full-service care facility for when he is released, his post-bone marrow transplant care options are not covered by the VA or Tricare. The full-time care is needed for 3 months post-transplant, at a cost of $7,200 a month. The upfront move in fee is $2,500.
**Our fundraising goal is $25,000, with the specific purpose of covering the fees for this essential post-transplant care**
Who is Craig Powell? As a Navy SEAL, Craig's kindness touched lives far and wide. His work with Middle Eastern refugees, natural disaster victims, and his position on the frontline of terror has always been for others. Through every unimaginable feat he has accomplished, Craig's most commendable honor was on the day of 9/11. That September morning he went to work at the Pentagon in Ring C, the section Flight 77 hit directly. He saved numerous lives, people he had never seen before, never spoken to. Craig Powell has always put the needs of others before his own. Continuously, he sacrificed his body and time for others without the slightest thought of return. He is always doing what he loves.
Keeping a positive attitude and a will to win is key in fighting a lethal disease such as leukemia. The more we can reduce his financial burden for care, the better his recovery. Any help you can offer for our Brother is greatly appreciated.
If you are unable to donate financially consider donating blood to your local blood banks, becoming a donor for the national bone marrow registry, and most of all; please include Craig in your thoughts and prayers.
With Sincere Gratitude from the Powell family and the Navy SEALs Fund.
