It is with heavy hearts we must share that on March 24, 2023, our friend, family member, Coach, and Teammate Dan Cerrillo passed away unexpectedly from medical conditions resulting from his years of service as a NSW Lead Breacher in the Navy SEALs. He leaves behind his beautiful wife, Leilani who he always honored as ‘my Queen’, and his incredible children Dominic, Taylor, and Kellan whom he loved beyond measure.

Please join Navy SEALs Fund - Brotherhood Beyond Battlefield® in honoring Dan and all that he has sacrificed on and off the battlefield. Help us to care for his family as he has done for so many others.

Dan will be remembered as many things: A Navy SEAL, a war hero, a leader, a dedicated father, a loving husband, a devoted mentor/coach, and so much more. Dan ‘Taco’ Cerrillo was a distinguished member of the US Navy SEAL Teams. He was a warrior without fear and many coalesced around him. Taco was admired by his teammates and highly regarded for his expertise in combat. His contribution to successful operations cannot be overstated. Through his zeal and performance as a Navy SEAL, he gained the admiration and respect of all who worked around him.

We believe two things Dan worked tirelessly on and would most want to be remembered for are his work supporting the mental health of veterans and his efforts to create jobs for those coming from the military and law enforcement backgrounds. His desire was for his company Spartan 7 to continue to provide help and meaningful employment for the Veteran community.

Dan never gave up. He fought every day to make a positive difference in the lives of others, and made himself available to those who needed him... whether they knew they needed him or not. He was successful beyond measure in these endeavors.

Dan will be missed immensely, but his presence is still larger than life and his legacy will live on.Dan will not be forgotten.Dan’s family will not be forgotten.

In memory of this incredible man, and in support of his grieving family, please consider making a donation. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

The Navy SEALs Fund-Brotherhood Beyond Battlefield is honored to be working directly with the family and 100% of all funds generated from this fundraiser will be gifted to the family.
