On the afternoon of September 4th, Navy SEAL Dan Licardo was in a tragic car accident leaving him fighting for his life.
Dan suffered a seizure due to TBI while driving. His vehicle went off the road, impacting a tree at high speed. It took emergency crews 45 minutes to cut Dan out of the truck, while his two young passengers fortunately only sustained minor injuries.
Dan graduated BUD/S class 202 and spent time on both coasts while enlisted. He was loved and respected by many in the SEAL community and currently contracts for the US Government, continuing to serve. While in the Navy, Dan fought in Iraq and Afghanistan and served at Team 4 and DEVGRU (SEAL Team 6) fighting the War on Terror at the tip of the spear for the United States.
Due to the extent of Dan's injuries, doctors had to remove both legs the evening of the accident. Dan is still in critical condition and is in the fight for his life.
We are asking for your help in providing assistance with Dan's medical care and for his family's emergent financial needs to facilitate transportation, lodging and other living expenses as they continue to navigate the needs for dealing with this horrific tragedy.
100% of the donations made at this fundraising site are tax-deductible and 100% are dedicated to the support Dan Licardo. The Navy SEALs Fund is working directly with the family and they have full transparency to the fundraising.
